October Summary:
Overall, Resale (Private) prices increased 1.71% while Quicksale (Public Auction) prices increased 1.20% month-over-month.

Construction Equipment
- Despite an overall volume increase, the Northeast region saw a decrease in volume.
- Prices rose throughout the majority of states, with especially pronounced increases in the Southeast.
- Deere construction equipment continued a drop in age, falling another 0.8 years.

Lift Truck
- There was a drop of volume in Lift Trucks in October, with an overall decrease of 6%.
- Arizona showed an increase in volume due to a 38% increase in Rough Terrain Lift Trucks.
- Pennsylvania’s price increase is due to Rough Terrain Lift Trucks, which had an average price increase of 4K per unit.

Agricultural Equipment
- Resale volume rose in all but 4 states.
- Average asking prices rose 12.5% nationwide.
- The age of equipment on the market decreased by 9 months on average.

On-Highway Truck
- Volume for On-Highway trucks was down for most of the US during October.
- Despite the majority of states seeing price decreases, the increases that did occur during October were larger than September’s.
- The average age on the resale market was up for all five most popular manufacturers and the only drop on the auction market was on International.

Construction Equipment
- Price decreases were the standard nationwide, with the exception of much of the Southeast.
- The Midwest showed substantial gains in volume, with Wisconsin leading the pack
- This month saw average age of resale equipment getting younger, with 4-Wd Articulated Wheel Loaders dropping 1.1 years.

Lift Trucks
- The Northeastern part of the USA showed the biggest decline in prices.
- The number of lift trucks entering the market increased by 14.2%.
- Montana’s average selling price increase by $10,000 due to plenty of high end Telescopic Boom Rough Terrain Lift trucks on the market.

Agricultural Equipment
- Nationwide, volume increased 5% compared to August.
- Prices fell everywhere except the Southwest, where average asking prices increased by 0.7%.
- The average age of equipment on the resale market in September decreased by 2 months.

On-Highway Truck
- Overall, private market units didn’t see much change, but there was high volatility within states.
- Auction volume nearly doubled for trucks in September.
- Freightliner, International, and Kenworth all saw increases in the average age for both resale and auction trucks.

- The biggest price drop was in the Southeast, with a median decrease of 10.4%.
- The average age of Wheel Tractors dropped by over a year to 11.1 years.

On-Highway Truck
- Heavy Duty trucks comprised 51.1% of the trucks on the market.
- Volume increased substantially this month.
- The average age of trucks on the resale market decreased across all three major categories.
